Andy Moss and Claire Cooper join OK magazine to talk Soap Awards, sex scenes and nude fans!
You just know when two people should stay together, and when it comes to Hollyoaks, fans across the land are willing Jacqui McQueen and Rhys Ashworth to sort out their differences and get it on! This week, Jacqui goes one step further and shocks Rhys with an impromptu marriage proposal. Is that wedding bells we hear?
Claire Cooper, whose powerful performance as troubled Jacqui has earned her two British Soap Awards nominations (watch ITV this Wednesday at 8pm), isn’t about to give away any secrets, but she hopes the odd-ball couple have some kind of future. ‘Whoever’s paired off with Jacqui will get a run for their money!’ says 29-year-old Claire. ‘She’s not the stereotypical girlfriend every guy dreams of; she’s not a Hollyoaks honey!’
Andy Moss, who plays Rhys, agrees that the two characters make a brilliantly different duo. ‘Rhys used to be the village sleazeball,’ says Andy, 27, ‘but he’s changed. He’s loving and caring, and he’s a one-woman man – a Jacqui McQueen man!’
